So I decided to recompile the Linux kernel that I was on (version 4.9.25) from source and with success I managed to get the latest Nvidia drivers working, however I'm faced with one issue. Same problem.After many hours of testing and googleing, I found XFCE as the only solution.The problem seems to be not the NVIDIA driver, but Gnome3.I tested Gnome3, LXDE and XFCE.My hardware: Intel HD Graphics 5500 + NVIDIA GeForce 840M
