A lot of you guys who have a directx 10 or directx 10.1 Graphics card, while playing Grand Theft Auto V, when hit the Escape button to access pause menu, a box says: 'err_gfx_d3d_init' and the game crashes to desktop! 5- Quit All softwares like: skype, Nvidia Streamer Service. 6- Reinstall the directX setup from the GTA5 folder. 7- change plan settings to High Performance from Power options.

So I've been having this issue for a long time, been there, done that and none has fixed it for me until yesterday when I found this thread: That guys thread for the fixes
Gta D3d Crash
Now the thread has multiple 'fixes' but the one that helped me was the 2 that helped him, to be exact, this one:

Delete d3dcsx_46.dll AND d3dcompiler.dll from your GTA V installation folder it says that u need to verify again, but DON'T DO IT it just downloads the same ones again and in 90% of the cases you get the crashes again, just delete them and don't re-download them.
(for the people that want to verify them, if you have the SOCIAL CLUB version, after the GTA5.exe' (shortcut) put -verify and launch as admin, it should start the verification and you might get a small scare when it shows you 50GB/55GB don't worry, it goes away after a few seconds, depending on your internet)
That's mostly it, those 2 .dll files are a custom hlsl compiler which seem to be bugged or something, here's a 'TL;DR' on what the compiler is: 'Any project that uses run-time shader compilation must have D3DCOMPILER_xx.DLL copied to the local executable path for the project. This DLL is available in this sub-directory of the Windows SDK installation under %ProgramFiles(x86)%Windows Kits8.0RedistD3D<arch> or %ProgramFiles(x86)%Windows Kits8.1RedistD3D<arch> where <arch> is x86 and x64. Hope this helped you fix the crashes, tho some crashes might still happen, but that's due to probably a memory leak which needs an official patch from R*, which we'll probably see in a few months :P

After the 1.5.2015 update i am unable to delete the files w/o re-downloading them, idk if they changed something or what, but1 thing is for sure, they just removed an actual fix..
